Accurately and timely documents patient care data such as chief complaint, past medical history, current medications, allergies, immunization status and vital signs including the pain scale.

Receives report of incoming EMS vehicles and CareFlight, conveys pertinent information to the Charge Nurse and in the case of air medical, ensures that necessary assistance is available for un-loading.

Obtains, labels and transports patient specimens in accordance with established standards.

Transports patients, supplies and equipment in a safe and timely manner.

Productively utilizes time when not actively involved in patient care by maintaining Environment of Care and Point of Care Standards, supply and room stocking and preparation and equipment checks.

Education :

More than 3 months beyond HS and must able to provide documentation of successfully completing an IV course.

Experience :

Greater than 6 months

License / Certification / Registration


Working Environment :

Works in a well lit, heated and ventilated area. Position requires considerable mobility throughout the facilities. Potential exposure to routine, communicable diseases through regular contact with associates and the public at large.
