The Perinatal Safety Nurse Educator (PSNE) collaborates with the Perinatal and nursing leadership teams to promote a strong patient safety culture and helps facilitate the adherence to national clinical and EGSMC protocols and overall standards of excellence. The PSNE utilizes the principles and practice of the science of safety and is responsible for providing professional nursing development and education services as well as developing interdisciplinary learning opportunities related to perinatal care. In addition, the PSNE is responsible for developing and managing perinatal quality improvement projects and initiatives while being a visible and recognized advocate for perinatal safety and quality perinatal care in the organization.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science degree required
Master’s Degree in Nursing preferred
Minimum three (3 years of Perinatal nursing experience required)
BCLS certification require ( American Heart Association)
ACLS for CNS/critical care required
