 Evaluates patients according to age appropriate care.

 Able to honor patient cultural food preferences.

 Identifies patient levels of care and adjusts accordingly.

 Modifies patient diets according to prescribed diet.

 Provides appropriate supplements to patients as indicated and according to formally.

 Correctly identifies and recommends appropriate care for patients who are of NPO status of 5 days.

 Communicates patients care interventions to appropriate staff members.

 Completes nutrition intervention in a timely manner.

 Accurately documents, confirms, and assesses diet orders for appropriateness.

 Request/recommend labs  and accurately interprets data.

 Assesses nutrient intake analysis appropriately.

 Recommends dextrose, amino acid, lytes, lipid formulation and appropriate duration for PN patients.











Bachelor’s Degree in Dietetics, Nutritional Science or other related degree


Greater than 6 months related experience

License / Certification / Registration

Registered Dietetic Association
