A member of the SCL Health Philanthropy team, the Development Director is an integral member of the care-site Foundation team and will work collaboratively to execute actions necessary to advance the fundraising goals of the care-site Foundation. This position is primarily responsible for the daily management and execution of care-site fundraising programs and acts as a liaison to fundraising programs or services provided by the system-level Philanthropy services team. The successful candidate will work closely with the board of trustees, produce development proposals, plan and oversee events and coordinate programmatic solicitation & stewardship efforts.
Bachelor's Degree required.
Minimum of 2-3 years of successful experience in fundraising, relationship management, corporate sales, or organization management.
Able to navigate a complex business environment with professionalism, accuracy, accountability, and confidentiality.
Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively with diplomacy, integrity and dependability.
Ability to occasionally work outside of office hours to support meaningful donor stewardship and Foundation events.
Extensive computer skills, including proficiency with Google Docs or Microsoft Office software.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work tactfully and confidentially with sensitive information; ability to work independently.
Healthcare experience a plus.
Experience with fundraising donor databases, Raiser's Edge a plus.
