The Supply Chain Inventory Control Coordinator is responsible for supply chain management inventory activities within the care site.  The Coordinator works independently under the supervision of supply chain leadership.  Controls, orders, and receives medical supplies to stock inventories, sterile processing, etc. Contributes to the maintenance of periodic/perpetual inventory by monitoring, ordering, adjusting, and documenting supply levels.  Performs regular cycle counts and quarterly par level counts, ensures supply shortages (stock outs) are kept to a minimum.  Pursues substitute supplies if necessary works intricately with supply chain management for adequate supply par levels to support patient care.  This position will work with our internal partners to establish a reputation of outstanding customer service as evidenced in customer satisfaction surveys.  This position is also responsible for on-going associate development, training (including cross training) and coaching/mentoring to supervised staff.  Service excellence and SCL Health mission and values are exhibited consistently in all aspects of this job, modeling the SCL service and behavior standards for all customers and contacts.

  • Associates degree or equivalent required.
  • 3 - 5 years in an inventory management related roll preferable in a healthcare supply chain environment.
  • Knowledge of MMIS, preferably Lawson, Epic, Par Excellence or other related inventory system.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Business or related healthcare field preferred.
  • 2 - 3 years of experience acting as a lead or in a supervisory type position.
