This position has a solid reporting line to the SCL Health Vice President of Revenue Cycle and an internal client group of our facility/care site Vice Presidents of Finance. This position is responsible for leading the patient access functions for all eight SCL Health care sites. This position is also responsible for administering and coordinating areas of training, communication, education, monitoring, awareness with key performance metrics, and any other identified areas with Patient Access/Front Desk/Registration. This position must maintain a high level of operational effectiveness and identifies and initiates process improvement in all aspects of Patient Access operations. This position will recommend and provide strategic direction to lead the transformation of patient access services for SCL Health including innovation. This position must be skilled in leading change management to implement new and “best practice” approaches to business processes to improve customer service, operational effectiveness and financial outcomes. Must have the ability to effectively lead patient access functions and must achieve identified performance metrics as well as budgetary parameters. Additionally, this position will need to effectively manage site-based patient access functions for all eight SCL Health care sites – providing both on site and virtual leadership. In all instances strong and service-oriented leadership is essential to provide the level of service and support to the patients who receive services at SCL Health care sites.
For success in this role it is critical for this position to build and maintain relationships with the facility VP’s of Finance, System Leadership and Finance, and other counterparts in the organization in matters of revenue cycle operations, performance and patient service. This role will work most closely with the Senior Director Patient Access Ancillary Services.
