The Enterprise Learning and Personal Development (EL&PD) Instructional Design Business Analyst is responsible for the design, development, production, and management of clinically sound, performance-and role-based electronic medical record system training curriculums, including web tutorials, job aids, process flows, work procedures, etc. for Providers and Associates across all SCL Health care sites and clinics.
Additionally, the Instructional Design Business Analyst is responsible for creating and implementing measurement/evaluation strategies for all assigned learning initiatives. An Instructional Design Business Analyst is expected to independently develop relationships with business partners and understand the clinical business processes of assigned partners and how they relate to functional areas as well as the eSummit (Epic) application.

The Instructional Design Business Analysts ensures changes to any curriculum/ documentation are completed in all relevant areas, and that proper change and versioning control procedures are followed.

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience w/ 8-13 years relevant experience.
    • Note 1:  5 years additional relevant work experience (beyond the minimum experience) may substitute for the Bachelor's Degree.
    • Note 2:  Relevant experience is defined as a minimum of 8 years of experience in instructional design and/or creating training programs using a variety of delivery mediums (ILT, virtual and e-Learning strategy and systems), consulting with business partners or clients, and project management.
  • Experience with adult learning principles, constructivism, facilitation, learner-centered activities, and information processing techniques required.
  • Proven ability to develop creative, flexible, innovative training courses and supporting documentation for adult learners in a clinical and/or business setting.
  • Proven ability to identify strategies and tactics for success in technical training and documentation.
  • Expert in documentation development techniques and demonstrated familiarity with Instructional Design and Courseware Development principles.
  • Extensive experience in conducting needs analysis and operations applications functionality assessments.
  • Possess an Epic Certification or the ability to obtain Epic Certification designation within 6 months of employment.  (Condition of employment.)
  • Master's degree or applicable certification that matches the function or field applicable to the business discipline (e.g. ATD Certified Instructional Designer, ISPI Certified Performance Analyst, or CEP Certified Instructional Designer.)
  • Learning Management System documentation and authoring tool experience.
  • Articulate Global, Adobe Captivate, and /or Adobe Flash application experience.
