Good Samaritan Medical Center is actively seeking a Part-Time CT Technologist to join the team.  The required shift is two 10 hour shifts Sat & Sun and one 12 hours shift on X-ray Mondays.
Performs a variety of CT procedures to produce images of a patient’s body for diagnostic purposes.  Collaborates with both internal and external healthcare team members to contribute to the plan of care of the patient.  Practices patient safety. 
Works in collaboration with Director/Manager of Imaging to identify and drive quality and performance improvement initiatives.  Requires thorough knowledge and understanding of the principals and physics.  Hours of work may vary with Corporate and/or Departmental goals.

  • Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental and infection control standards.
  • Prepares written documentation as required by the profession and the departments, such as evaluation results, individualized treatment plans, progress reports, and other such reports.
  • Performs CT Scan Radiology studies; obtains patient history, explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns.
  • Transports patients to CT Scan room; prepares and maintains room for daily activities.
  • Selects and operates equipment as directed.
  • Requests and orders supplies as necessary to keep materials on hand at all times.
  • Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings, and workshops.
  • Attends meetings as required.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Assists clinical personnel in transferring patients to or from beds, chairs, wheelchairs or stretchers.
  • Interacts with nursing units, emergency department, laboratory and outpatient department. 
  • Ensures laboratory specimens/cultures are delivered to appropriate destinations.
  • Perform waived or moderately complex POC testing.
  • Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
  • Assists with the training of new employees.
  • Assists with SOP revision and validation.
  • ARRT (R) (CT) registered
  • Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and skill in recognition of normal and abnormal variants
  • Thorough knowledge of radiation safety
  • One year previous CT experience, preferred
