Finance Officer - Business Manager - Duchesne Clinic

Reports to the Executive Director of Caritas Clinics, Inc. and is responsible for carrying out the health care mission and the objectives of the SCL Health (SCL HEALTH) as it relates to the financial management of Caritas Clinics, Inc.  In doing so, establishes short- and long-range goals, objectives and plans subject to approval of the Executive Director.

  1. Promotes the philosophy and mission of the SCL Health throughout Caritas Clinics, Inc.  Promotes a positive working relationship with and among all clinic staff and volunteers.
  2. Serves as member of the Caritas Operations Committee.
  3. Oversees financial management of Caritas Clinic, Inc.
  4.  Prepares monthly financial reports for Caritas Clinics, Inc., (Saint Vincent Clinic, Duchesne Clinic), and all other pertinent reports and grant for the Executive Director, Board and SCL Health.
  5.  Responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable and tracking financial information for Caritas Clinics, Inc., (Duchesne Clinic, Saint Vincent Clinic) and other pertinent reports and grants.
  6. Monitors payroll and payroll records for Caritas Clinics, Inc.  This includes state and federal tax reports, W–2 forms and 1099 Miscellaneous Income forms at the end of the calendar year.  Monitors employee leave/vacation records.
  7. Monitors the quarterly reports to the State of Kansas Employment Office and the 941 Federal Report.
  8. Submits materials for Form 990 report to the SCL Health Tax Department. Prepares and submits State of Kansas Corporate Annual Report.
  9. Assists the Executive Director in the preparation of the annual budget and in budget preparation for grants. Provides the Development Director budget information and materials for grants.
  10. Prepares and assists with the annual audit.
  11. Prepares financial reports for funders (e.g. KDHE, United Ways and other funders).  Assists in the preparation of grant requests (e.g. KDHE, United Way, etc.)

 


Education – Bachelor's degree in accounting or business–related field is preferred.

 
Experience – Approximately 2–3 years with accounting procedures such as payroll, bookkeeping, and financial management.
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities –
 
            a.         Administrative and philosophical compatibility with the health care                                                  apostolate of the SCL Health required
 
            b.         Knowledge of business management, basic finance, statistics, and                                                  computers.
 
            c.         Interpersonal skills and sound judgment necessary to communicate with                                                  a  wide variety of persons.
