Works under the supervision of the Transport Team Leads/Supervisors and Clinical Operations Manager of Medical Imaging. Transfer and transport patients of all ages between multiple areas. Assesses patient condition for transport purposes. Support and assist technologists in obtaining quality examinations in Medical Imaging. Clean and inspect equipment to ensure a safe and comfortable environment. Document and communicate patient related information. Maintain department functions such as assisting file staff, reception and front desk as needed. Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines and requirements. Demonstrate age-related skills as defined by unit patient population. Understand and utilize proper body mechanics. Understands and practices standard precautions.

Is scheduled to work all shifts, weekends, and holidays as assigned.
Ensures compliance with regulatory agencies.
Understands proper use, care and storage of Oxygen equipment.
Ensures safe transfer of patients following all hospital patient precaution standards.
Placement and removal of cardiac monitor as needed.
Ensures patient comfort during transport to and from exams.
Log rolls and places slide boards with patients in C-spine precautions.
Demonstrates effective communication skills to ensure patient safety at all times.
Understands specific transport duties for all modalities of medical imaging, GI Lab, Dialysis, Heart Center, Radiation Oncology, Surgical area and any other areas as assigned or needed.

Required: High School Diploma or GED equivalent level. SCLHS approved BLS for Health Care Provider. Current Colorado EMT or CNA Certification.
Preferred: Six (6) months experience in a medical setting and a knowledge of medical terminology.
Required: SCL Health approved Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certification. Current Colorado EMT or CNA Certification.
