In this role, you will lead the design, development and implementation of a comprehensive associate safety program.
As a highly integral part of the team, you will provide oversight of employee safety education and prevention programs including but not limited to sharp, slip, trip and fall and workplace violence prevention, safe ergonomics and patient handling.

Lead program participates in the development and review of safety related organizational goals and support service locations and partner departments as needed. Lead system and care site efforts to reduce Associate illnesses, injuries and related costs while increasing the focus and reporting of Good Catches.
Manage risk assessments/surveys, audits and prioritizes and communicates opportunities for risk improvement. Collaborate with system and care site teams to support achievement of national patient safety goals.
Lead the development, adoption, monitoring and reporting on metrics which demonstrate the effectiveness/need of the associate safety programs. Collect, analyze and report on data as required.
Collaborate with care site leaders to improve understanding of data/information related to the organization's performance in safety and high reliability and methods for improving performance. Conduct, develop and educate others on event trend, root cause, apparent cause and common cause analysis.
Required: Bachelor's level degree is required.
5+ years experience in healthcare safety and/or occupational safety
Certified Healthcare Safety Professional (CHSP) or equivalent is required within 12 months of hire.
Prefer: Certification in safety, hazard management, ergonomics, Industrial Hygiene, Certification in HRO, quality, behavior based safety, lean, or six sigma, RN, LPN or clinical related field.
Previous work experience in a clinical setting.
