This position is responsible for the day to day EMR end user support, workflow validation, education, and tip sheet production.

Workflow Analysis
● Supports the system Clinical Informatics Mission and Vision
● Assist with electronic medical record (EMR)/Clinical Application maintenance and optimization in joint venture with site end-users, director, managers and IST analyst/Clinical Informatics
● Evaluates the workflow and EPIC system integration
● Collaborates with end-users to cultivate ideas for the EMR
● Research and provide analysis for other Clinical Applications as needed.
● Evaluates the workflow and EPIC system integration
● Provides communication of any changes in production, overall system upgrades or enhancements to ensure an effective flow of information through the organization
● Builds collaborative relationships with clinical and ancillary areas to facilitate an integrated electronic medical record
● Assesses and identifies risk and issues throughout all aspects of the EMR application
● Evaluates EMR problems by completing a workflow observation and printing HIPAA compliant screen shots, completing a heat ticket, and submitting the request through the site Clinical Informatics Manager

End-user support
● Highly involved in supporting and promoting the EPIC project as well as other Clinical Applications as needed
● Provides clinical patient documentation assistance to providers and care staff
● Provides medication and other order entry assistance for providers and care staff
● Provides providers and care staff with end-user just in time support and education reinforcement
● Makes intention rounds within the facility to inquire of any issues, seek input for change, and observe workflows
●Provides the organization with in-person EMR support, phone, and computer remote.
● Demonstrates commitment to providing outstanding customer service
● Uses adult learning principles to explain the 'how-to-do-it" process of using the EMR
● Assist the providers and care staff with EMR. Clinical Applications functionality/trouble-shooting
● Ensures timely resolution of day to day issues as identified by the end-users - assists in determining whether the EMR/Clinical Applications issue are a process issue, performance issue or product issue.

Technical Skills
● Provide Clinical Informatics' first level support to all customers by ensuring that problems are tracked and worked on until resolved
● Analyzes and defines workflow requirements and helps design solutions to satisfy the requirements
● Supports testing, documentation and installation of changes to the EMR
● Communicates orally and in writing in concise understandable terms with all people involved in changes made to the EMR
● Coordinate and work effectively with providers, care staff and IST

Education, Experience, and Licensure/Certification Requirements: Requirements are representative of minimum level of knowledge, skills, and/or abilities.

1. RN, Rad Tech, Rph, RRT, Med Tech or other health care professions --licensed in the State of Montana OR Epic credentialed in at least TWO eSummit modules
2. Proficiency with basic word processing and presentation applications (i.e. Microsoft Office Suite with Word, Excel, Power Point.)
3. Two years experience in healthcare setting with demonstrated understanding of clinical practice

Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelors Degree in healthcare, business or computer related major or equivalent experience 
2. Experience as an end user with Clinical Information System and computerized clinical charting
