Description

Knowledge of function and relationships within a hospital environment preferred

Customer service skills and experience

Ability to work in a fast paced environment

Ability to receive and express detailed information through oral and written communications

Understanding of Compliance standards preferred

Must be available to work hours and days as needed based on departmental/system demands

This position requires technical accuracy, excellent communication skills and the highest ethical standards.


Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent

Previous Customer Service experience preferred

Previous administrative experience in medical facility, health insurance, or related area preferred

Some college coursework is preferred

Understanding of Third Party payor requirements preferred

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Friends and Family BLS required within 6 months of hire date

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.

REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Physical Demands Light-lifting 20 lbs maximum with frequent lifting/carrying up to 10 lbs General office environment, non-smoking, moderate noise level.
