JOB TITLE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES ES MS ND NA

JDR 1.

Meets the job specific competencies for Position Code:

Comments:

JDR 2.

Assists Dentist with basic dental procedures, including, but not limited to the preparation of dental examination room and equipment, patient preparation, radiographic set-up and development, and chair side procedural assistance.

JDR 3.

Performs limited hygiene services of child prophys.

JDR 4.

Clean, disinfect, sterilize and generally organize dental operatory and laboratory areas.

Properly bag and dispose of contaminated wastes and supplies.

JDR 5.

Ensure appropriate documentation and maintenance of dental records.

JDR 6.

Oversight of general care and maintenance of dental equipment and supplies.

JDR 7.

Perform analysis of clinical operations with the Dental Director to continually update process flows to ensure effective and efficient delivery of care.

JDR 8.

Responsible for charting requirements; x-ray, crown & bridge, root canal and denture procedures.

JDR 9.

Perform coronal polish for both adults and children.

JDR 10.

Ensure appropriate documentation and maintenance of dental records in paper or electronic form.

JDR 11.

Responsible for accurate completion of X-ray process.


JDR 12.

Assist Dentist(s) chair side.

JDR 13.

Assist with inventory control measures and process.

JDR 14.

Performs other related job duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Education :

High School Diploma

Experience :

One year preferred. The Dental clinic is willing to train a suitable candidate if the individual has no experience.

License / Certification / Registration

Certification from an accredited college/program preferred

Working Environment :

Works in a well lit, heated and ventilated area. Position requires considerable mobility throughout the facilities. Potential exposure to routine, communicable diseases through regular contact with associates and the public at large.
