This position is located at Holy Rosary Healthcare, Miles City, MT. The schedule Saturday -Wednesday 10a-6:30p.
The Patient Financial Advocate is responsible for providing financial advocacy counseling to individuals who express interest, and to help assure that individuals who are eligible for insurance coverage and premium assistance know about their coverage options and have the opportunity to obtain in-person assistance with the enrollment process. Patient Financial Advocates will deliver education in regards to explaining affordability programs, qualified health plans, essential health benefits and rights when using insurance. Is able to understand the web-based decision tools and guide patients through the process of narrowing choices for qualified health plans. Has the ability to understand and refer patients with appeals, grievances, and complaints to the appropriate agency. Explains to patients when life changes can be reported and when renewal will be needed. This position must demonstrate excellent customer service skills to assure that patient and family needs are met in a timely manner while maintaining professionalism and cooperation. This position is responsible for quality assurance in application processing and procedures, along with adhering to all compliance requirements mandated by CMS, HIPAA, Joint Commission, etc.
Minimum of 2 or more years prior health care knowledge with a healthcare financial counseling background. Solid knowledge of Medicaid / Medicare ACA Knowledge. Bi-lingual Spanish Speaking preferred.
High School diploma/GED or equivalent, type a minimum of 40 wpm, computer proficiency, excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
